Being able to recognize when your husband is an alcoholic can be difficult in many ways. Understanding your partners drinking habits and their possible role as a facilitator can own be as stressful to your emotional well being of their partners such as alcoholism.

The first step is to find patterns in your spending habits. They drink every day? Each order week. Only on Sundays? Do you drink because the kids were screaming all day? Their work is particularly stressful that day?

As we all know, a social drink, and occasionally drink to forget a stressful situation are two separate entities. Someone who is clearly drinking to relieve stress is considered a potential alcoholic. If the spouse is always having to have a drink after work just to relax, the more likely they are having problems of dependency alcohol.
