When you're in the market to buy a used car quality, the first places to look is usually the classified ads in newspapers and used in many car dealerships. That's what most people, but there's nowhere you can get a better deal, and that is the United States Government.

The U.S. Government maintains large fleets of vehicles to help its many different agencies to perform their vital functions. Owned vehicles of various government agencies are well maintained and have regular maintenance performed on them. When a government-owned vehicle is several years old, is replaced by a new model, and the vehicle are removed through a public auction. In addition, many vehicles are seized by the government every day during the course criminal proceedings for things like tax evasion and drug law violations. These vehicles entering auctions that government-owned vehicles.

Before a government auction, is allowed to inspect vehicles and check for major problems. When the bidding starts, it starts low. If there is a great interest in the vehicle you want, sometimes you can get an amazing deal. There have been cases where a person was the only bid on a vehicle, and got it for the price of the bid opening. This does not happen very often but has happened. Even if you do not receive such treatment, most probably pay a lot less than the auctioned vehicles are worth on the open market.
