Many people come to the Internet looking for information on how to use ATF agents. Some of them become discouraged after learning what it takes to achieve this work. Unbeknownst to them is that there are many other jobs offered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Snuff, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). In this article, I will highlight some of those jobs ATF and what it takes to secure these jobs.

It should be noted that not all jobs are open ATF in general. This is another mistake. ATF Some jobs are open only to current federal government employees. I'm not going to fill these jobs in this article. The article will only focus on jobs that are open to the public.

In no order of importance, some other Office of Alcohol, Snuff, Firearms and Explosives jobs are:

1. Fingerprint Specialist:

d. Get Top Secret Clearance

e. Be registered with the Selective Service if born after 1959

f. A citizen of the United States

2. Engineering Electricity:

The Bureau of Alcohol, Snuff, Firearms and Explosives also needs electrical engineers. These engineers and electrical work technical product experts, equipment and components having electrical and electronic components. Sometimes fires can be caused by the manipulation of people with the above components. It is the electrical engineer's job to make this determination.

The electrical engineer involved in research of the crime scene in case of power failure scenarios and analysis. This may mean that the electrical engineer to testify in court proceedings about their findings and analysis.

The electrical engineer from the ATF should be able to research and develop new tests of electrical and electronic components assist in forensic fire investigation. This may involve new methods or approaches to address emerging trends or problems with the ATF may be watching.
