Lortab is classified as a narcotic painkiller that contains hydrocodone and acetaminophen, and generally prescribed as a pain reliever for those suffering of severe or moderate pain levels.

It is important to be informed and educated on all possible aspects in regard to Lortab. For example, the analgesic is extremely addictive and it is really important that you not take more of this medication than prescribed by your doctor.

Taking Lortab longer or more than indicated may result in very unpleasant withdrawal symptoms when you stop taking the medication.

It is of utmost importance to avoid alcohol ut at all times while taking this prescription medication. Lortab and alcohol combined are a deadly combination. The two combined can lead to high instances of dizziness and drowsiness already caused by Lortab. In the same note, avoid other medications that cause drowsiness when taking Lortab, or the effects could increase.

The Constipation may also result from taking Lortab. You can reduce these cases, ensuring that drinking at least eight full glasses of water a day and increase your fiber intake.

Anyone who has or had a history of Addison's disease, head injury, the gallbladder disease, epilepsy, convulsions, , Enlargement of the prostate hypothyroidism, urinary problems, asthma, liver disease, kidney disease, alcoholism, or drug abuse must avoid Lortab or be closely monitored by a physician when taking this pain reliever.

If you suspect you might even be pregnant or become pregnant, talk to your doctor. This medicine may cause some serious problems to an unborn baby.

Not unlike all the types of drugs, and has some common Lortab Serious side effects to taking the painkiller. Common and less serious side effects of Lortab may include less desire for sex, urination decreased, itching, sweating, tremor, dizziness, drowsiness, dizziness, decreased appetite, vomiting, nausea, dry mouth or constipation.

Serious side effects of Lortab require immediate medical attention immediately. Some serious side effects include unusual bruising, unusual bleeding, and fatigue unusual, yellow eyes, yellowing of the skin, unconsciousness, severe dizziness, weakness, clammy skin, cold skin, seizures, weakness or slowed breathing, or symptoms of an allergic reaction.

For this reason, you should ask your doctor aware of any and all medications (prescription or nonprescription) you are taking, as well as herbs, minerals or vitamins before prescribing Lortab to relieve your pain.
