During the 10 years since the advertising of prescription drugs began in television, Big Pharma has spent billions of dollars saturating the airwaves with ads for drugs. Actors in idealistic settings ecstatic about their new drug created by life, but the horrible side effects of drugs – some of which may be fatal – are glossed over in seconds. This advertising can mask or minimize the potential for damage, such as dependency, addiction and the need for detoxification of drugs and, in some cases, detoxification.

The intention of Big Pharma advertising technique has apparently worked perfectly. We now have a new generation of consumers of prescription drugs that embrace prescription drugs for everything imaginable. Advertising drugs – and drugs – has tarnished the spirit of America to ignore the dangers, do not even know or care how easily prescription drugs can lead to drug detox, detoxification, or worse, premature death.

A new study University of Georgia shows that most TV commercials for prescription drugs are not the real risks of adverse secondary. The study addressed directly to consumers and advertise drugs and cable TV spend an average of less than 8 seconds (13 per cent of total time AD) to disclaimers side effect in a 60-second commercial, and less than 4.4 seconds (15 per cent of the time Total AD) side effects and warnings for the average of 30 seconds. For shorter than 15 seconds, no time is devoted to side effects and warnings.

When you listen very carefully to the usually rapid-fire, low voice, almost incomprehensible statements warnings side effects, you hear that some of these side effects – even the most seemingly harmless drug – can be pretty horrible. We also heard advertisements for certain state aid that the dependence of drug sleep is not possible, or advise the addictive potential, but We've personally never heard once even admitted that the need for detoxification or drug rehabilitation could occur.

The study author says that the real problem is that the effects of secondary information is often presented so that people are unlikely to understand or even pay attention. "And this has led many people to ignore these warnings and blindly reach for drug prescription next and next and next. Such a mindset has led to the situation we have today with thousands Americans seeking detoxification or drug rehabilitation programs.

Government statistics, 22 million Americans have abused prescription drugs, and thousands have died due to lack of information on the dangers of certain prescription drugs. Same after the Federal Drug Administration has issued serious warnings, doctors continued to prescribe certain drugs incorrectly resulting injury and death, or at least the need for detoxification and drug rehabilitation. If doctors are unable to understand the gravity effects secondary prescription drug or the complex mix of different drugs and alcohol, how is the public supposed to understand?

This volatile and dangerous situation could be improved if the new regulations require ads to devote as much time – and stress – For side effects and dangers is devoted to the alleged benefits of prescription drugs. Perhaps then we would begin to see a difference in the attitude Americans have toward prescription drugs and reduced disease, death, and the need of detoxification facilities and detoxification program against drug abuse in the country.
